Why We Did Not Approach It With the Contouring Injection Alone

What kind of treatment is the contouring injection?

The contouring injection is a fat-dissolving injection that dissolves and tidies places where fat has gathered.

Where fat has settled thickly, such as a double chin, deep cheek fat or the jawline, it can show an effect. Up to here it is clear.

The limits of the contouring injection ①: the problem of cause

Where the reason the face looks large is not fat, the contouring injection does not change things.

The cheekbone standing out is a matter of the tissue and structure over the bone, not of fat gathering; and where the cause is sagging, dissolving fat does not raise the line. This is also why we hear people say, “I had a contouring injection but my cheekbones are the same.”

The limits of the contouring injection ②: the problem of control

Focusing only on dissolving fat makes control difficult.

Volume in the face is not always something to be reduced. Fat that needs to remain in one place needs to remain, and only what needs to be reduced elsewhere should be reduced. Reducing everything uniformly can leave the face looking gaunt, or the line uneven. So a product design that lets you keep and reduce as intended has to be looked at.

So I always had this thought: might there not be a composition that lets me control what I want to keep and what I want to reduce?

And so we created NUWA Gyeolfit

In truth, if I had looked at the treatment first I would not have arrived here. It was because I looked at the face first that the limits of the contouring injection came into view.

The areas differ, and so do the tissue characteristics, so the same composition cannot be applied in the same way. Without a basis, treatments cannot be approached by area in the first place.

Even so, the first thing I look at is the face

Having the basis in place does not mean every face gets the same treatment.

Even using the same NUWA Gyeolfit, the design changes according to whether the cause of that face is fat, tissue, or sagging.

So rather than deciding on a treatment name first, we look at the flow of the face first, then decide on the treatment. Because that is when the basis is needed.

Facial concerns are never just one thing

The cause of a facial concern may be fat, or it may be tissue, or it may be sagging.

When the causes run in several directions, approaching them all with one treatment has its limits. I believe that having a basis that can be adjusted, and then designing it to fit each face, is the answer.
