Why three wavelengths are used together
While many lifting devices work with a single wavelength, Titanium Lifting uses a diode laser that delivers three wavelengths — 755nm, 810nm and 1064nm — at the same time. Each of these reaches a different depth within the skin. The 755nm wavelength acts on the more superficial layers and is involved in pigment and overall tone; 810nm works on elasticity in the middle layers; and 1064nm reaches the deepest structures, including the retaining ligaments and the fascial layer, where it encourages a tightening response.

Caring for the superficial layer alone may improve texture while leaving sagging unchanged, and stimulating only the deep layer may tidy the contour while tone and texture stay as they were. Two modes, adjusted face by face
No two faces seen in the treatment room are the same. Skin thickness differs, the degree of laxity differs, and so does the area each person is concerned about. For that reason, Titanium Lifting combines SHR mode and STACK mode according to the situation.
SHR mode

STACK mode

Which mode is used, and how much, is less a fixed formula than a judgement made after examining the structure of the face directly in consultation. In making that judgement we do not only look at how much laxity is present; we also ask which expressions you make most often, and which camera angle you find yourself most conscious of. Even with the same degree of laxity, the point that feels uncomfortable is different for each person.
Concerns about discomfort
One of the main reasons people hesitate over a lifting treatment is pain. We often meet patients who know they would like a lifting treatment but keep putting off the decision because they are worried about how it will feel during the procedure. Lifting devices differ in their approach, and the level of sensation felt during treatment can differ accordingly.
Titanium Lifting is used together with a sapphire cooling system. The laser tip is maintained at −3°C or below and cools the skin surface in real time, keeping stimulation at the surface to a minimum while thermal energy is delivered to the tissue underneath. Because of this, many patients are treated without a separate numbing cream, though this varies from person to person, and redness or swelling immediately afterwards tends to be relatively mild, so a return to daily routine is usually quick. Titanium Lifting, by contrast, causes collagen fibres to contract immediately through thermal energy, so many people notice the contour looking tidier as soon as they look in the mirror after treatment. As time passes and new collagen and elastin are synthesised, firmness settles in more solidly.
